The Indian Scene...

Rapist Dhananjoy dead, hanged in Alipore jail. Not commenting on the hanging, but rather than on the fact that this is the top story on the TOI website. Indian Express' lead story is about the crisis of the Tibet lake, and also in the Hindu. Now, I may not be a good journalist, but this much I know, Tibet is a more important story than Dhananjoy. But when the leader is guiding the reader(TM), what can one do....did anyone say dumbing down?
Also, there have not been many political news from teh ruling party. Makes me wonder, is there a ruling party in India? I am sure that the ousting of the BJP from power was not good for the newspapers. The congress is just not good at playing to the presses. They'd rather please Madam rather than the Third Estate. And only when Madam does something does it become newsworthy for them. Shame.
